Isaac Munji

The vision for the ministry came to Isaac as he constantly observed many children and families in Maai Mahiu town and the surrounding communities that were struggling with difficult life issues and physical basic needs. Their stories and search for help often reminded Isaac about his own life experiences that he went through when he grew up in his poor village.

Isaac & Esther

In those days at times, they desperately needed food and clothes, educational resources, and someone to talk to about their hurts, loneliness, and often broken hearts, but in many cases none of these were available.

As Isaac served in Church ministries, he witnessed many families struggling with the same real-life needs and issues. Isaac spent time listening to many individuals and families and discovered that many of them were hurting or had had hurts that needed to heal, many had broken families and relationships, and many were still searching for somebody to reach out to for help, while others had given up their hope. Responding to God’s call, Isaac and his wife Esther began to offer the hope of God to the hopeless and broken families through Rift Valley Hope a ministry founded in Maai Mahiu town Kenya, a truck-stop town on the Trans-African highway where prostitution, drugs, alcoholism, and hopelessness is part of daily life. By the grace of God, Rift Valey Hope was founded as an instrument for the Lord’s work in Maai Mahiu and has been serving the community since 2012.
